Masbak Art Foundry

Trained at and inspired by Germany's famous Lauchhammer Art Foundry, Masbak Art Foundry has been around since 1992, serving as the go to place for all projects cast and / or fabricated in metal. They're currently exploring the concept of "Design / Make" which closes the gap between designers and makers to develop richer and more detailed pieces, while also allowing for interesting self fueling design generation that's inspired by the act of making itself. "Forsaken" is a walnut and bronze side table that will be on display at the event, giving second life to discarded bronze castings by welding them together to form the bars of the table. Meanwhile, "Alchemy" is a trio of copper plates that were oxidized using different seawater specimens, creating uniquely shaped and colored layers of rust.
