A Dining Experience Like No Other

French Chef Joel Robuchon, who currently holds 31 Michelin stars at his restaurants across the globe, recently announced L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, a groundbreaking concept which first debuted in Paris' Saint Germain neighborhood in 2003. In the front of L'Atelier will be Le Bar de Joel Robuchon, an elegant yet approachable restaurant featuring a distinct menu of dishes, an extensive Champagne list, and classic cocktails.

Located in Manhattan's historic Meatpacking District, just below the bustling High Line, L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon New York melds the iconic elements shared by his other L'Atelier restaurants with regional ingredients, design details, and vibrant atmosphere that speak to its newest location. "I have always loved the energy and excitement of New York City, and it is one of my favorite destinations in the world," said Robuchon. "We selected the Meatpacking District because it is reminiscent of the first L'Atelier in Paris's Left Bank."

L'Atelier's name refers to a craftsman's workshop. The restaurant's signature counter seating faces directly into the open kitchen, allowing for a dynamic interaction between chef and diner, and a view into the creative process. Robuchon's inspiration for the concept was to meld the interactive sushi counters of Japan, and tapas style of service found in Spain, with his Modern French cuisine.

The 34 seat dining counter, which is designed to evoke warmth and conviviality, will be complemented by surrounding tables and two private dining rooms that each seat 10 people.
