CONTEMPORARY, AFRICAN

A Bold New Design for Nando's

A branch of Nando's, one of the UK's most popular restaurants, has been given a wonderful makeover within a historical building, creating a space that combines contemporary elements with traditional African art. Created through a collaboration between Kriskadecor and Stac Architecture Ltd., the design breathes new life into the space while respecting the historic site in which the branch sits.

Together with the London company Stac Architecture Ltd., design firm Kriskadecor oversaw the interior design of a branch of one of the UK's most beloved restaurants. Nando's serves chicken and other dishes inspired by South African cuisine and is an eternal favorite in Britain.

The branch sits within a historic building, Grade II listed, in the town of Altrincham. Among warm colors, exposed original brickwork walls, terracotta blockwork and hotrolled mild steel sheet cladding highlight the adaptability of the small anodized aluminum links of the Montblanc company which were lacquered in yellow.
