INSTINCTIVE ILLUMINATION

Animals, Fun and Light in the Works of Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba

Italian designer, Marcantonio Raimondi Malerba, fascinated by connections between man and nature, interprets both the dynamics and beauty of the natural world. Recognized for his Monkey and Mouse series of lamps, Malerba's latest project is a series of fun, quirky plastic sculptures of animals titled Instinct Illumination.

Each sculpture tells a story and exudes a pure sense of joy. She's in Love but She doesn't know it yet" is a tall, dreamy giraffe, and it's fun name comes from the fact that its heart is so far away from her head! What a Boar! is the name of a bored boar who has destroyed a brass chandelier and still squeezes the pieces between his teeth.

5 minutes alone ... reminds us to never leave a Jack Russell alone for five minutes because he will disassemble the furniture, and Just a Drag is a sly gorilla that holds in his mouth a large piece of brass as we could hold a big flower or a pipe.
