Japanese Hints in the Heart of Midtown

     A stunning, authentic design captures both the spirit of Japan and the individuality of New York in Zuma’s first, iconic location. Thanks to Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel, the design comes to life over two levels full of contemporary Japanese hints all overlooking the city’s famous Madison Avenue.
   
An Invinting Sports Store

     WADA Sports, one of Japan’s leading sportswear retailers recently announced the opening of a new headquarters and retail outlet in Himeji shi. Designed by Matsuya Art Works/KTX archiLAB, the new building will also play host to the company’s racket stringing studio, which develops the chain’s own technological innovations.
   
A Dining Experience Like No Other

     French Chef Joel Robuchon, who currently holds 31 Michelin stars at his restaurants across the globe, recently announced L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon, a groundbreaking concept which first debuted in Paris’ Saint Germain neighborhood in 2003. In the front of L’Atelier will be Le Bar de Joel Robuchon, an elegant yet approachable restaurant featuring a distinct menu of dishes, an extensive Champagne list, and classic cocktails.
   
A New Take on the Boutique Hotel

     Times have changed, as has the mindset of the modern traveler. Moxy Times Square sets a paradigm for a new boutique social hotel, proving that affordable rates don’t mean sacrificing style. Flexible co working spaces and 612 bedrooms feature smart technology, free Wi Fi, and clever design by Yabu Pushelberg.
   
Encouraging Reading through Design

     The Zhongshu Bookstore in Suzhou, China, designed by Yu Ting of Wutopia Lab, is divided into a series of zones to stimulate the mind. Each with a fresh approach to design and an individual character, the zones inspire and engage thanks to creative design and wonderful imagination. This is no ordinary bookstore as The Sanctuary of Crystal, The Cave of Fireflies, The Xanadu of Rainbows and The Castle of Innocence for children books.
