A Bold New Design for Nando’s

A branch of Nando’s, one of the UK’s most popular restaurants, has been given a wonderful makeover within a historical building, creating a space that combines contemporary elements with traditional African art. Created through a collaboration between Kriskadecor and Stac Architecture Ltd., the design breathes new life into the space while respecting the historic site in which the branch sits.

A Contemporary Space with a Mechanical Past

Chinese firm CUN Design’s latest project, a high end boutique by the name of 751 Fashion Buyer Shop, is set in the heart of the fashion design area of 751 d park in Beijing, one of the landmarks in the famed Locomotive Square. Towering desulfurization towers have witnessed the development of Chinese industrialization and still bear the scars. A core area in the Beijing International Design Week, the rejuvenated area often hosts exhibitions, forums and cultural exchanges and is rapidly becoming a modern hub of design.

A Haven in the Heart of Istanbul

Fenix, an ultra fashionable dining spot in Istanbul, marries Peruvian and Asian cuisine to create an exotic experience in Turkey’s capital. South American, Cuban and colonial elements create a sense of exotic escape and the fantastic fusion menu allied to incredible cocktails make for memorable night out. With a tropical outdoor terrace and unique interior elements, Fenix is as much about the setting as the food and drink. Here, we discover one of Turkey’s most exciting nightlife destinations.

An ’Underwater’ Restaurant in China

Designed by SODA Architects, the Blufish French restaurant in the basement of Beijing’s APM Shopping Mall in Wangfujing channels the concept of an underwater world. Full of fantasy and whimsy, the interior is replete with tonal blues and pinks made from a colored mesh which falls from the ceiling. The white base forms a jumping off point for engaging blues and pinks, creating an almost coral like interior.

Communal Areas Help Creativity Thrive

Designed by Carlos Delgado Pint’s Inloki, Ida, this office building for Outsystems sought to align the interior design with the company’s entrepreneurial spirit. The focus was centered on the use of light within the interior, the construction materials used during the project and the overall volume along with the inclusion of an interior patio.
